As part of the educational program “BEYONDedu: Educational program for space technology and remote sensing” of the Institute of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (IAADES) of the National Observatory of Athens (NOA), the students of the 12th grade of our College connected online and watched the presentation of the program.
The presentation was made by Mr. Eleftherios Theodoropoulos, Scientific Associate of the Operational Unit “BEYOND Earth Observation and Satellite Remote Sensing Research Center” of the Institute of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing of the National Observatory of Athens.
This specific educational program aims to offer students a unique opportunity to learn about and explore innovative topics that are not covered in textbooks. Through this program, the aim is to connect compulsory education with the most modern developments in satellite technology and geoinformatics, areas that are expected to decisively influence everyday life in the future.
